Olbishims (or trolls, as they are known in common) are the most common of the Vaettir, the ancient race of elves, goblins, and giants that ruled Yavmir before the arrival of Triglav and Chernobog. Standing eight to ten feet tall, these hulking creatures sport disproportionately large noses, ape-like hands and feet, and manes of knotted hair. After the Vaettir were defeated in the Skywrath Wars, the hulking Olbishims were enslaved by the humans of the Radiant Empire to build their great cities and monuments. Freed from the bonds of servitude after The Sundering, the remaining Olbishims now eke out an existence as hunters and guides. While few humans enjoy the company of a Olbishim, they are forced to respect their great strength and cunning.

Olbishim Racial Traits

+2 Strength, -2 Dexterity, +4 Constitution, -2 Intelligence: Olbishims are strong and hardy, but not particularly quick (both mentally and physically).
Large: Olbishims are large creatures and take a –1 size penalty to their AC, a –1 size penalty on attack rolls, a +1 bonus on combat maneuver checks and to their CMD, and a –4 size penalty on Stealth checks. A large creature takes up a space that is 10 feet by 10 feet and has a reach of 5 feet.
Normal Speed: Olbishims have a base movement speed of 30 feet.
Low-light Vision: Olbishims can see twice as far as humans in conditions of dim light.
Stability: Olbishims receive a +4 racial bonus to their CMD when resisting bull rush or trip attempts while standing on the ground.
Outsider: Olbishims gain a +2 racial bonus on Survival checks.
Ancient Giant: Olbishims count as vaettir with the giant subtype for any effect related to race.
Languages: Olbishims begin play speaking Vaettir. Olbishims with a high Intelligence score can additionally learn Common and Palmspeak.
