Wolf spiders are gigantic beasts with insatiable appetites that spin their webs in the Petrified Forest. They are known to pluck entire caravan wagons off of Riverbed Run and drag them back to their cavernous homes. These spiders dwell in large numbers in the Needle Fen, a large wetland that sits in the middle of the Petrified Forest. The fierce and territorial nature of these predators forces traveling merchants to circle around the marsh, adding days to their journeys to and from Tol to the north.
